Unknown parties have been shooting on the Duddon Mosses late at night and weekends and the level crossing gates are being left open. A white transit type van has been seen at two recent break-ins.

Cllr Elaine Knowles

Requested Council approach Doctors to ask them to publish schedules for surgery and pharmacy opening hours in the Parish Pump.

Cllr Vera Glessal

Reported on the dirty state of the Woodland Road, Clerk to make contact with Bruce Evans at SLDC to request road sweeper.

Cllr Peter Munday

Has fully investigated costings for computer and equipment and it was agreed that these items should be purchased, Clerk will purchase software.

Cllr John Batten

Flooding in the valley had been upto 2-foot deep in places. Having made contact with correct personnel – Graham Wheelhouse and Dave Hook - they spent over 3 hours going through Duddon Valley and identified trees to cut back, 6-8 drains that require clearing and actually cleared some 20-30 others. Also identified an area on Sella Road with a sub-surface large hole.

Land sub-committee has toured area and produce a comprehensive area of land and property owned. A working party needs to be set up to remove remains of cattle truck once the weather is suitable.

Cllr Jeff Barker

Has made site visit to request chopping back of shrubs obscuring streetlights. Requested letter to be sent to property owner regarding the possibility of affixing missing streetlight to his property on Cinder Hill.
